Open a Bank Account

Once you have your EIN, you can open a campaign bank account. This account should be separate from your personal finances to ensure compliance with campaign finance laws.

Credit unions may not support campaign accounts. Call ahead to confirm before visiting.

What to Bring to the Bank

• Your EIN confirmation (printed or saved)
• A valid government-issued ID
• Any additional documentation required by the bank

Some banks may ask for campaign committee paperwork or other verification materials. It’s best to call ahead and confirm what they need.
